What's in store?
Seeing as I just only found out about you all I am SO VERY interested to see what a 1st age Tolkien-esque mud has to offer. Any teasers or spoilers to help a brutha out AND help me round up more prospective geeks should this be FTW.

I'm in the process of migrating from the old forums to the new ones, and I'll put up my code log to foolishly reveal some of the coded values we use as well as demonstrate by amateur coding abilities.
Re: What's in store?
Well, the code log looks magnificent. I'm excited to see what you have ni store for us and I think I just may drop this link to a few friends of mine to see what they think.

Notice the evil laugh, combined with innocent playing. Tell me... which one do YOU believe?

Re: What's in store?
What races are you hoping to have beyond Sindar, Noldo, Vanya elves, dwarves, and humans? Will humans be divided into Nummenoreans, etc or further? Will trolls be allergic to light once again and find death moreso from sun than any other? What newer races are you thinking of? I'm uber curious.

Re: What's in store?
Hopefully the division of races won't become too complex.
In the First Age at this point, there are no Numenoreans. Elrond and Elros have yet to be born, Ulmo has to raise Numenor out of the Sea etc...
We are before that, in a time when Men were known as the Edain (Sindarin for "men").
The playable races we have then for the time being (beta) are the Three Houses only. Then we will open up the Noldor (they're more common in Beleriand - esp Northern Beleriand where we're starting - than Sindar, ironically), the Dwarves (not the Petty-Dwarves except as NPCs), the secretive Sindar, and the ever rarer Laiquendi (the Silvan/Green Elves of Ossiriand). We'll also have by that stage (with hope), Maiar, and for the bad guys: Orcs of various kinds, Balrogs, Werewolves, etc

Re: What's in store?
There are also "easterlings" (men who crossed from the east several hundred years after the Edain), and Dunedain, primitive men, but those won't likely become player races for a long time, if ever.
Re: What's in store?
Looking forward to this. Hope I am not setting alarm bells off for you all.
